There were cheers, excitement, and sweet tears of emotion once again at this year’s “Jazz, Baby!” fundraiser for Friends of Tennessee’s Babies with Special Needs which was held at the Foundry on Thursday evening, October 6, 2016 from 5:30 to 8:00 pm. Fast becoming one of the most anticipated events in town, the evening featured a delicious and hearty selection of hors d’oeuvres and the swinging music of Vance Thompson, Knoxville Jazz Orchestra founder, leading an ensemble of local jazz musician friends. Dynamic auctioneer David Alley of Alley Auctions conducted a live auction with an array of fantastic items donated by generous local businesses and friends. The Wine Pull was wildly popular and offered folks the opportunity to go home with a good, great, or even a prize bottle of wine. Participants were also treated to a wonderful array of Silent Auction items donated by area businesses. A special thanks to Presenting Partners, Clayton Bank and Formall INC. Additional sponsors included McCamy Construction, 21st Mortgage, The McLaughlin Group, Clayton Homes, Ann and Steve Bailey, Farragut ENT, Children’s Hospital, Dover Development, UT Hospital, Stowers Machinery, Angie McCamy and the Knoxville News Sentinel. Our sincere thanks also goes out to all of our hard working volunteers.
